There are so many different brands, price points, colony forming units (more on what that means below!), and strains of bacteria. I wanted to create this series because I am a gut health nerd and I love talking about digestion and how important it is for our health. I also wanted to do an educational series on it because I find so many people have questions about digestion (and poop for that matter). I know how important this topic is because I see digestive complaints in virtually every client that I see. I have yet to see a client with perfect digestion!
As with everything else in nutrition, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about proper recovery fuel. It can be confusing when you read articles that talk about the macro-nutrient or 'macro' ranges. You’ll often read that you need to make sure you’re getting the proper ratio of carbs and protein that equals 3:1 or 4:1. What the $#!* does that mean and how are you supposed to calculate that?!
Clean Travel Essentials
This weekend I will be accomplishing my ultimate, long-standing goal of completing a half marathon. I call this my ultimate goal because it’s something I’ve wanted to accomplish for so long. It’s been on my mind for a while and it always seemed like something that was so far out of reach for me to do.
My vacation to Mexico is finally here! I am so excited to hit the beach this week, enjoy some sunshine and most importantly: relax and recharge. It’s been a busy few months so this vacation could not have come at a better time.
As you may or may not have noticed, the new tagline for Deliciously Nourished is ‘Nutrition Simplified.’ When I went through my little re-brand a couple of months ago, I knew I wanted to have a tagline that would resonate with my followers and people visiting my website. I wanted it to be something that was a positive first impression on my website, and something that highlighted what my practice and my mission are all about.
Things are feeling pretty fresh and new around here, and it’s not just long-awaited spring weather!
